Dufferin Youth Festival of the Arts 2017
Student Safety Policy
The Dufferin Youth Festival of the Arts (DYFA) is a school based arts experience for students. It is not open to the public. Schools are to inform parents beforehand that in order to protect the safety of all children:
- No videotaping or photography of any kind is permitted and all electronic devices must be shut off and stored away upon entering the DYFA.
- Parents of performing students and invited guests must sign in at the welcome station agreeing to this Student Safety Policy.
- All parents and invited guests must wear a name tag with their name and the name of their school.
- Schools need to inform parents ahead of time that seating for parents is only in the overflow area and seating cannot be guaranteed. Parents are to stay for their children’s performances only, thereby allowing room for others to do likewise.
